Very nice video! Erik, I need to figure out how to get back there again! Maybe a combo quail, axis/aoudad (something along that line!), hog hunt.
After seeing your toothy hog head mount, it might be in my future.
Have a grand season!

It would be wonderful to get to hunt with you again.

Do we have to go out early? Can I sit with my coffee watching that wonderful sunrise in the mornings and with my wine watching the beautiful sunsets in the evenings? Not much of a hard core hunter anymore eh?
You guys spoiled me last time!

Brother we can hunt as hard or as easy as you’d like. It’s entirely up to you.

Damn! That broken horn Hawaiian would be a great match for my broken horn Corsican! Sadly my money is tied up for Africa!

Speaking of that Ole Corsican, I forgot to grab him when I was at the ranch last weekend. I will get him next time I'm down and get you a shipping quote.

I look forward to coming down one day soon in the future to hunt some deer.

Thats awesome man! Fallow next on the list!

Now that just looks like a lot of fun just waiting to be had. Nice animals.

I haven't had time to write anything up since visiting Erik last weekend. I had one heck of a good time and if I paid a dollar a laugh it was a heck of a good hunt!

I hunted the goat with Bruce, who's shown in the video and man was that fun. He' a heck of a guy and hunter. We made a spot and stalk that was a ton of fun. After spotting and bumping the goats went down and across a draw. We circled and could only get within about 300 yards, and could only see a couple of heads even then. So we made a plan and circled further around and then went down into and back out of a DEEP little canyon. Sneaking along we found them finally.

At about 50 yards all we could see was heads and they saw something they knew wasn't right and still no shot. There was a little rise they were still behind. While Bruce stood were we were I dropped down and circled in closer behind that little rise. Crawling I made it to about 25 yards and still couldn't see much. The one I wanted finally moved as he was getting nervous and I had a shot through that thick grass, off of my knees. Just shoot through the grass and one dead goat. Easy.

Yeah, right. I don't know if I judged wrong and shot over the goat's back or if the bullet hit that little rise, but I flat footed missed and they were gone!

We let them settle for a couple of hours and came back. Again, in thick stuff and hidden and we could only see one to start. Bruce ranged them and it was 200 yards, so he asked if I could make the shot if presented and I said I could. I wonder why he asked the question?

After the mornings shenanigans those goats were nervous even at 200 yards and as we made a slight move they came out to run. The one I wanted came out in open though and stopped for just a second. That was a mistake on his part and he was DRT. I didn't miss that time.

Now here is how I know what a hunter Bruce is. He was more excited and we had more fun on the blown shot than the kill shot. That's what non hunters don't get. It ain't just about the kill!

So thanks again to @gizmo and the Rocking G Ranch! If you need a hunting fix and can' make it to Africa it's a heck of a good option!I will be back for sure.

@Royal27 what?!?!?! No mention of me!!!!

I was afraid that if I did then people would expect you to be there all the time and Erik would get in trouble for false advertising when they showed up and you weren't there. :p

I don’t want to damage the Rockin G’s good reputation!!!!

We did learn however that Brad has quite the taste for milk. Pretty much a creepy weird thing going on.:LOL::LOL::cry::ROFLMAO::eek::eek::eek:

That was a hellava billy and those dang things are an absolute blast to hunt.

Quick question under the exotic sheep group do you guys have Mouflon? Also another question how do the licenses work for exotic animals in the states as far as the hunting end goes?

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
