I have 7 original paintings for sale, depicting the Kruger Park's Magnificent 7 elephants (Shingwedzi, Kambaku, Joao, Dzombo, Mafunyane, Ndlualamithi, Shawu).
They became famous A couple of years ago through a very efective publicity drive by, then director of the Kruger Park, Dr Tol Pienaar.
About 6 years ago I was approached by a Pretoria based company called "Skyviews Art Prints" to paint the Kruger Park's Magnificent 7. (It had been years since the last of these great elephants had died, but public interest in them was still very much alive.)
The painting's prints were sold and distributed through the Tigers Eye Group. Prints were sold in, under more, the Kruger Park, Johannesburg, Houtbaai and Cape Town. We eventually sold about 2000 prints.
The original paintings are currently on loan to Umbhaba Lodge at Hazyview.
All seven paintings are framed in gold behind glass.
Individual Unframed Painting Size: about 40 x 60 centimeter (16 x 24 inches)
Individual Framed Painting Size: 55 x 75 centimeter (22 x 30 inches)
Price: US$17500- (excluding shipping)
The paintings are "free mounted" and can either be rolled, and sent unframed, or they can be sent Framed.
