Something different and very interesting, big game around it is ,and not only in jungle.

This is a Pdf file ( click on picture to download it ") about Whale hunt and the arms, ammo, ballistics and anatomy of the various whales.

Of rifle ammo in there is listed then current specs legal for finishing shot ,and that was 9,3 mm with Solid, preferably Mono Solid, .375 the same and .458 .

I read a article some years back about them using .458 Win Mag and Norwegian made Bronze solids.

Never knew you were into whaling, Per.

Do you recognize the skeleton of the creature I'm sitting on ?

The forest department issued .303 British Lee Enfield (loaded with the armor piercing 174Gr military ball) kills them, but it takes a very very long time.

No im not into it , hardly been on the ocean my self and never on such a vessel, but grandfather whom i only once met as a toddler and never more . He was a whaler until 1939 ,so i think he used much of whats described there.

No sadly i dont recognise what skeleton that is.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
