An excellent one! As I recall this is his "life story" up till he went off to work for the railway. He explains here how he became so good at reading jungle signs.
Fantastic book. I’ve read it numerous times myself and gave copies to all my boys and they each read it multiple times growing up. Really inspired them to get out in the field and away from the video games. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it the way many have before you.
Lucky man, ice been trying to get a copy of that for a while. Seems to be rare over this way. It's said to be somewhat of an autobiography regarding his development in thinking towards nature and our place in it.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
hey bob , new on here. i specifically joined to enquire about a 444 you built on a Enfield 4-1 you built . who did the barrel and what was the twist and profile specs ? look foward to your reply . cheers
