great thread guys and some absolutely awesome taxidermy!!! thanks for all the updates through the process. I know

:D Beers:
Thanks buddy, yes I am very pleased with everything. Looking for final pictures now.....Hoping I have everything in the next several weeks.

I’m working diligently on getting the final pics posted. Y’all bear with me. :)

Still waiting on a pick up date....This has been the worse part of my taxidermy adventure. I know Erick is on their case to pick up and deliver.....AGHHH...

OK so they claim they will pick up from Erick tomorrow...I should have delivery next week... :D Pop Popcorn:

Are you using Trophy Transport Johnny?
No I don't believe he is. Gentleman by the name of Allen is the owner. I was talking with Erick yesterday on the phone, if he didn't hear from them he was going to load it up himself and drive it to NY. A short while later he did hear from them and they are supposed to pick up this morning get it to the mid west somewhere and then hand it off to someone else. I should have delivery sometime next week.

He’s on the way to the shop and we’re about to load everything.

Hope you’re going to take pictures after they’re all in place and show us? I’d love to see it!

Of course!

I heard tell lots of trophy shipments that go through the Midwest are getting highjacked

Ok guys taxidermy is home! Today is exactly one year since I shot my waterbuck which was my last trophy on my Safari. One year from hunt to trophy room. That’s the kind of turnaround time I look for to be honest. I’m just to impatient to wait 18-24 or more months. Ok so my overall opinion on my experience with Erik of Top of Texas taxidermy (@gizmo), communication excellent, willing to listen and work with the client excellent, in progress photos constant. And the final product very good. The pedestals are beautiful too. One of a kind. Thank you my brother for everything. Please forgive these piss poor photos as I’m not a high end camera guy. And once again thanks everyone for laughing and enjoying with us.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
