There are few landowners around the Eastern Cape who wouldn’t be keen on killing jackal or caracal on their property. The catch is that the easy jackal are all shot and the rest have been awarded a masters degree in evading farmers. If you’re experienced, know the jackal and the area, they’ll welcome you, perhaps even reward you. If you’re not, you’ll only educate them even further. I used to call jackal in quite consistently. Since we’ve had young kids and our business has grown, I value my sleep more and my efforts have become less successful. Now I go out only opportunistically and leave the calling for the pros that do it week in week out for a living. They’re in tune with the jackal. So long answer / if you’re good yes, if you’re not no.
