Good day, all. Joined the group yesterday. To be transparent. Located in the southern USA. To be transparent I may never get the chance to hunt in Africa however, it will always be a dream of mine. The allure of hunting rifles used for big African game has always pulled me in. I just began a project to scratch that itch. I am rebarreling a Savage 110 in 450 Marlin. It will probably not be used a lot because of ammo availability but that’s okay. I can look into 458 American or something similar down the road.

You can easily start by putting $20.00 or so if your single, double that if you are married, into a seperate safari bank account, aka mad money. Just don't tell the missus, until you are ready for that: Surprise Honey! I'm taking you on a trip for: our wedding anniversary, your birthday, second honeymoon, because I love you, etc., etc..

You probably ought to wait till the plane is outside US air space before mentioning you are taking her to Africa.

Yes I am married. My wife would have no issues going to Africa. We all love animals but also understand how the food chain and wildlife conservation work. Our first grand-child will arrive this coming summer. I doubt I could pull my wife away from our home base anytime soon after that.
