I have a .375h&h interarms whitworth that has to short of a magazine. The magazine measures 3.4. Is clearly to short for the lengthened action and the 3.6 COL of the .375. Has anyone seen this before? I was gifted the rifle by my grandpa who bought it new. He always seated them to mag length. I would like to load to full length. I have tried Numrich for a replacement and scoured the internet finding a solution, thus leading me to the knowledge on this forum!

Thanks

Thats an odd one for sure. It should have the extended mag box. If you cant find one, any good smith can add on to yours.
Mine measures nearly 3.7" internally. I cannot imagine loading to only 3.4"!

Here is how it should look.

I dont see your reply here for some reason but its in my email. To your question, the follower is standard, AFAIK, they only made one follower.

Thanks! For to info. Any suggestions of a gunsmith that would be familiar with these actions?

I had some guys back east work on my other Whitworth, a .458 that had feed issues and they also rechambered a Mark X from 8x57 to 8x64 for me. I was pleased with their work and costs.
I am sure they could do this work.

BTW, I just checked the .458 and it has the same long box as the .375 and I am not sure why, but its a first year Whitworth.
Good luck on the project!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
