I am appealing to this august group, perveyors and possessors of all things quality and bespoke....I can't find a proper ALL LEATHER dress belt. The world is filled with abominations made of man-made materials, filled with foam, and bulged, cracked and torn in no time flat. And these are being sold in places like Macy's, etc. Why can I find harness leather hunting or casual belts, but nothing of lasting value in a dress belt?
I'm asking for your usual stellar advice on the matter. What are your favorite belts? And just to spice it up a bit while we're at it--what are your favorite quality casual belts as well?

I've had pretty good luck at western wear stores, buying some of the more conservative selections of course. They can get rather ornate, but that's just not me.

I'll start off by acknowledging I have no class, so my belts do double duty for both work and dress attire.

I only use Mich Rosen belts, and always go with their Express Line for fast service.

Looks like a great selection to choose from so far. I bought my belt many years ago from Holland and Holland in London, but they don't make them any more. So I would suggest Westley Richards, they make excellent leather goods.

Dear God, I love this thread.

I have a Boyt Harness Belt. Gotta be 15+ years old. Just one thick strip of leather...stained and notched as I grew...ungrew...sweated and just got rained on.

I can't wear it for business...noone would understand. It's respectfully mangy.

My next belt will be Elephant. Black. Because I actually only own one dress belt and I cannot see myself anymore owning any more belts. They tell a story...let the belts tell the story.

I have several belts from Yoder, they are very well made. Their money belts also are made to hold a usable amount of money, not like some.

Filson makes some great belts. Also check with makers of good leather holsters such as Milt Sparks and Kramer, they also make some good ones.

My casual belts are a buffalo hide by Collett’s Wildlife Artistry and a Filson.

I have a leather casual wear/concealed carry belt from Hanks Belts that I’ve been completely happy with. They offer some dress belts. Saddleback leather makes some quality leather products. I’ve had one of there wallets for about 10 years and it still looks great. I’m not sure of what they offer in dress belts but they’re worth a look.

The casual/CC belt that gets the most wear these days is a Kore ratcheting “tactical belt.” As much as I like quality leather the ability to ratchet the belt in 1/4” increments tighter or looser almost instantly and zero stretching or sag of the material is great for practical wear and doesn’t look bad with shorts or other very casual clothing.

Well I've never really considered them to be true dress belts, but I love my Kramer Horsehide belt. Longest lasting belt I have ever owned (2007ish?) pretty much my daily belt. It is still fine itself, but It started out an IWB carry belt and now I'm on the last notch so I might have to get another one on order soon :(

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
