The wife of a friend of mine passed away from cancer and due to the lock-down communication was limited so we just learned of her passing. The funeral wasn't allowed, those that attended the "service" could only watch from their cars and only a few were allowed to do that. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time when it can be done correctly- except for the delayed date. I'll tell ya, I have had it with this crap and the G==ks that perpetrated it.

I feel for you. And your friend and their families.

I am sorry to hear this Ray. Condolences to friends and family.
Where did this take place?

Man, this is terrible. My condolences to your friend's family and to you.

Hello Ray,

My sincere condolences.

That situation / severe restriction toward loved ones in attendance and those who were banned from attendance was just cruel.

The wretched governments don’t act like this when strep throat is sweeping their respective countries.

This mass hysteria is ridiculous.
Talk about the tail wagging the dog.

Regards,
Paul.

Where did this take place?

It took place in Leavenworth, WA (geographic center of the state). the virus rates were never very high east of the mountains(the populated Puget Sound area was the hot spot). But with migrants coming in to work the fruit sheds where they were in close contact, the virus spread. But the migrant community who generally speak Spanish have minimal contact with the local residents who primarily speak English, so while the one sector of the population had a spike in virus the remainder of the population was virtually virus free. However that didn't seem to matter to the authorities who kept everything locked-down including elective treatment in the hospital- so our friend was unable to get "non-emergency" treatment. She had been found a year ago to be cancer-free, but it popped-up in another organ. I don't know that receiving treatment would have mattered, but one thing is clear, she didn't get it and now she's dead. so tally up another to the politicians that are trying to milk all they can from this disease.

So sad! My deepest condolences to her family.
The purpose of government has been abused for a very long time, IMO. Not what the country founders had planned.

I feel you, we had a memorial service for my grand farther this weekend. He passed away in June all because we were not allowed to have gatherings during lockdown!!!
I am over this Covid shit!!!!
Condolances to your friend

Covid patients should be treated in another totally separate place.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
