Here's my Husqvarna 640 in 8x57. It has been fitted with a Musgrave stock.

The Sellier & Bellot 196 grain SPCE load produces around 2630 fps

The gun is now zeroed for deer season

if they were available here in the US I just might have to order one .

Beautiful rifle! That Sellier and bellot ammo shoots great in pretty much every rifle I've ran it through. It'll serve you well.

Took a good sized black bear with my Husqvarna 8x57 with the S/B load last year and my old man dropped a mule buck at 80 yards with his tikka 8x57 S/b load. Recovered the bullet with 72% weight retention. The bullet creates a big mushroom.

I was asking if it was a guy with username “fluffythecat” on an AR oriented site often nicknamed arfcom.

It is I just saw he had other posts and it is the same person.
Can't be Fluffy. He would have included at least one M1 Garand, probably rebarreled to something interesting, in his pics.

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
