Hunting leopard with hounds or by baiting?

Hunting leopards over bait is easier for beginners. You take any decently accurate telescopic sighted rifle of 7mm caliber (minimum), loaded with fast expanding heavy-for-weight soft points (like Remington Core Lokts) and when the leopard comes to feed… simply aim for any of the rosettes behind the shoulder and pull the trigger.

Hunting leopards with hounds or bushmen trackers is more thrilling. Especially in the Kalahari. But it's more dangerous. Most times after pushing the leopard, he will charge.

Photographs of some of my leopard hunts in Tanzania & Botswana can be seen on my "Media Page". If you'd like to know anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
