Hunting in Namibia With Shona Hunting Adventures

Hunting leopards, as I’m sure most PH’s would agree, is one of the most difficult and challenging animals to hunt on the African continent. Even in areas where they do occur in abundance, getting a nice cat in the salt is never a guarantee and even the most experienced PH sometimes has to lower his head in shame after being outsmarted by an old Tom. For a true cat hunter, this becomes an obsession and for the PH it becomes very personal.

One of the highlights of the trip was a duiker that took us 3 days to finally outsmart. We connected with him on the first day of the safari but could not get a shot at him. The tall grass along the Huab river did not make it easy but slowly working his home range on foot eventually paid off.
