After our fire season this past summer I can feel for these people. Foolish disposal of a cigarette is all it takes in those dry windy conditions.

Stay safe down there!

Nearly 70 000ha of grazing south of Boshof in the western Free State

According to Breytenbach, the fire had developed from a manmade roadside fire on the R64 about four to five kilometres from the town.

The fire, about 70km long and 45km wide, further destroyed two homesteads and one fodder shed. Breytenbach explained that authorities were still working on the final damage assessment but preliminary indications were that large numbers of animals had died.

We are worried about that same thing here in Kansas.

As dry as it has been I wonder if the state is going to allow range burning this year?

May not be much burning if it stays dry. The old grass will hold what little moisture we have but we could have a lot of wild fires.

Had some pretty gnarly wind here in West Texas yesterday - sustained winds up to 35-40 and gust to 60+

I've seen a lot of overgrazed land in RSA. Nothing but grass and fire just waiting to happen.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
