Out of curiosity, is this a controlled round feed action or push feed?

Push. It is H-S Precision design and proprietary action. A bit stronger than Rem 700 but not technically control round feed.
I have used it extensively and really like it.

What do you mean by not technically control round feed? Does the bolt have a claw extractor?
I have always liked the design of HS precision rifles. I just have not really ever looked at them close up.

Does not have a claw extractor. Works like a supersized Rem700 action.

How can you install an optic on this setup? You use detachable mount?

Exactly, I use Talley bases with their lever rings and a scope for each barrel. The return to zero has always been consistent for me.
