Hornady Belted Mag Brass #8798

Can anyone give me more information about these hornady cases. Got them from my father in law. Thought I might be able to use them for 458 win mag but not sure?

They are 45 caliber basic. They can be used for 458 Lott , 458 winchester extra. They are 375 H&H basic brass full length not formed.
They are parent case for all 375 H &H converstions.

Yes I know of.

they could be cut down to 2.5", but if you are doing it with a trimmer, that's quite a job.
