Kind of on an odd mission. I would like to, over the next handful of years, hunt hogs in every state they are in on US. All I have is SC and Texas. I've hunted in Florida but they were fenced hunts and that dosnt count for my goal.

So, figure the easy ones come first. I live in SOuth Carolina so want to hit the nearby states. Anyone know someone in North Carolina, Georgia, upstate Florida, Alabama, etc?

Only stipulations I have is they need to be fair chase and I want to do it all with my own gun. Figure I can knock out most of east coast in next 12 months then work my way west through Louisiana, New Mexico etc

Best of luck on this venture! I dont know anyone to send you to in NC unfortunately

Sounds like a good mission to remove pests from others property!

Oddly I find I enjoy hog hunting, especially on foot, more then I do deer hunting or birds. I also notice I get real antsy waiting for deer season to open up so what better way to fill the void. We are planning Texas in February for Javelina (both our birthdays that month) and the misses wants a ram and Scotland in October (our anniversary). Hog hunting is budget friendly and year round so I can fill the gaps.

Hoping to hit one of the nearby states during thanksgiving vacation and bring my nephew along as observer

I found I actually enjoy hog hunting more then I do deer and bird, especially when hunting on foot. I also found I get real antsy in the "off" season from deer. We have a February texas hunt planned (both our bdays that month) and Scotland in October (our anniversary) so theres a lot of room inbetween for budget friendly hunts which hogs fit perfectly.

Planning to hunt one of the nearby states over thanksgiving vacation for hog and bring my nephew along as an observer. Just need to find an outfitter in whatever state.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
