Hello, my name is Tim. I purchased a SA hippo hunt that was donated at my local SCI chapter. Many of our local members have went with this outfitter and have had a great experience. I am unable to go due to some financial/time reasons and am wanting to sell the hunt. Normal price is daily fees + $9k trophy free. I'd be willing to sell it for $6,300. Please let me know if there is any interest, otherwise the chapter will re-auction it at the upcoming banquet. Thank you

Might help if you list who the outfitter is...

You saying you paid 6300 for that hunt. I find that hard to believe really.

Hello. Yes, sorry, the outfitter is Restless Africa Safaris. They would pick you up in Johannesburg. Hunt would be for 2017.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Tim

well your chapter does good then at selling hunts. Hope you get your money back then. Great kudu you took by the look of it in that pic.

Thanks so much. Yes, we usually have a good banquet. I'm happy to provide receipts to whomever wants to purchase.

what chapter is it we always look at a new one each year to support.

Have you also cleared this with the outfitter? Sometimes it is stipulated that only the buyer of the hunt can actually go. This is to prevent auction buyers from turning around and selling at a profit. Which I'm sure you're not doing here, but just to inform. I would make sure you have something from the outfitter blessing this.

Yes, I've went through the board at my SCI chapter and the outfitter has approved it. I'm happy to provide their contact info. I'm not trying to profit at all, just get my money back.

Are there fees for arrival and departure days? A fee for airport pickup?

Often when you add the arrival day fee, departure day fee, airport pickup and the hyperinflated list prices for a few plains game animals, these auction hunts are worthless.

Good luck selling your hunt Tim.

Is this the same guy you hunted your first Hippo with?

There are no additional pick up fees. Only extra would be gratuity, taxidermy and shipping. I've hunted plains game with them in the past, and they were very accommodating.
