Heym in .275 Rigby finished by Rigby. It has a nice straight comb stock. Very smooth action and trigger. And shoots better than it looks. Muzzle is threaded and capped.

Lop 14 3/8”
Barrel is 22.5”

Target is 5 shots at 100 yds using factory Hornady ammo

$3950 with out the scope.

It looks like it's not to particular what you put through it either, I love a rifle like that. Almost all my rifles like a couple of fouling shots put through them before they settle down.

Luv yer scope ! 3-9x36 Diavari-C ?

I’m no expert, but it looks to me like a 1970s to 1980s bonafide Rigby during the Ron Wharton era. Unlike many built on CZ and cut rate mauser actions of that era, this looks like a premium heym fit and finished in Rigby’s London workshop. Very nice @Altitude sickness

About the perfect caliber and at 1/3rd the price of a pre-ww2 version.

Good luck with the sale, it won’t last long priced as a non-rigby Heym of the same age!

“Here is one of the responses from Rigby when I inquired about the rifle.

Hello There

I am not sure what they did in full.

Some people here think they would have scoped, shot and tested the rifle.

Also some cosmetic work plus the engraving.

It would have been given an overhaul too.

I hope that helps.
Best Regards”

Tony

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
