I'm looking for some information on this rifle. Attached are words from Larry Schuknecht (German Hunting Guns).
"Paul Jaeger bought guns from several German and Spanish makers, and he sent guns to Germany to be engraved by Claus Willig and Gustav Schildbach. I need to look through my files I have some pictures of guns from Paul Jaegers and I seem to recall that one is a double rifle. I wonder if the gun was ordered by Paul Jaeger but when they sold out to Dunn's, the gun was picked up by Rigby, and imported to the U.S. by Griffin & Howe. I am suspicious of the engraved name on the bottom of the barrels with scribed guide lines, most good engravers would not leave their guide lines visible, I wonder if that was added to add some clout to the gun, since Griffin & Howe could not help you with it."
Any information is wellcome.
