Help for documentary Film (Dominique Micheletti archives)

Hello everyone,

My name is Sébastien Cassen, I am a documentary filmmaker from France And I am interested in Dominique Micheletti who is a professionnel Hunter.

Micheletti helped René Lescombes a French film maker and adventurer (the subject of My movie). Lescombes was an former military from Indochina war. He was lame and despite his broien leg want to film wild animals to make a movie. Every One thoughs he was mad.
But Micheletti helped him.
Their journey were in Chad beetween december of 1953 and the begening of 1954.
They were in Fort Archambault, and then Progress Through the bush and reach a tiny village called Ouabang…
Micheletti felt sick and Lescombes lost himself… everyone thougts he was dead… but Lescombes came back with the movie.

Then came back to France and show the movie called « Fauves à bout portant »
That’s all I have.

Here on Africa Hunting, I found an article about Robert J Montvoisin. In it, the name of Micheletti is cited with Georges Bates.

It seems that those men created « Micheletti & Bates Safari ».

I’m in contact with wilderness-safari and They try to help me.
Do you have any informations about Micheletti?
A contact of someone who can help me?

I looking for archives on Micheletti and that story with René Lescombes. Photos, letter, press…

Dominique was a Corsican, lived with his family in Olmeto, Corse, as a farmer. In 1990 (ca.) he moved to Australia (his wife was an Australian teacher) and settled in the Woombye region, Queensland.
