I've been to South Africa twice with one organization . ( A few past SCI presidents and Craig Boddington have been with this organization.)The organization set the bar pretty high and I really enjoyed hunting mid-south Africa and the eastern cape areas with them.
I had a great experience on both hunts and am returning in June of 2016 with my son as his high school graduation present.
I'm bringing a group of a minimum 6-8 other hunters as well. The group might be as large as 11 or 12 hunters. Some are father/son teams and some husband/wife. It's a group of mixed bow and rifle hunters. Most of the bow hunters prefer spot and stalk hunting. Half of the group have been to South Africa at least once and want me to do some competitive shopping before we make a final decision.
I was wondering if any one would recommend any other organizations that would accommodate a larger group of hunters and any specials for this large a group. (at least for the guy whose planning it all...me)

Thanks for your time!!

AH has some great PH's that should be able to assist you.

To help you out what Trophy animals will you be looking at taking with your group.

Does is make a difference if it is fenced or free range? Both have there plusses.

For your lodging, simple tented camps and then their is the 4 or 5 star lodges. What are you looking for?

What country are you looking at going to?
South Africa or Namibia or Zambia. or others like Mozambique and Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

We are open to both fenced and free range. We would prefer to not hunt concessions that are small and being used by both rifle and bow hunters. We(the bow hunters in the group) are ok with hunting some blinds(hides) but don't want to sit in a box by a waterhole all day for the entire hunt.

I would prefer 4 to 5 star lodges for this group. However if it means having to be move some of us to a less than 4 to 5 star accommodation for part of the hunt to get some of the animals we are fine with that.
We want to hunt South Africa and prefer kwazulu natal, South eastern cape etc.
One side note is we are all looking for at least a 10 day hunt.

Welcome to AH.

When you get a moment or two please share a hunt report or two from those previous hunts.

Hello Hunt4Him,

Welcome to the forum.

As others have already said, you probably need look no farther that the various Safari Companies and PHs that advertise and/or participate in this forum.

They can surely hook you up.

However, if you cannot find the right situation here after all, try emailing an inquiry to:
big5game@worldonline.co.za

It's safari season and they are very busy so, it might take a few days to get back to you but, they will email you back eventually, tell them Paul Ard sent you.

Cheers,
Velo Dog

Thanks no1waterdog! We're practically neighbors. I'm in Kennewick.
I see you've been to South Africa. I've been twice and am going again in 2016 for my son's high school graduation. Who did you go with and would you recommend them? I'm trying to decide if I'm going back with the same organization or to try someone new. Thanks

Hunt4Him I hunted three times so far. The best RSA hunt for curly horn antelope was with Ferdi Vinter hunting. The PH that can do a larger group is Hunter hill safaris And they have any thing you can Dream of. . I can recomend both very highly.
