I've had one trip to Africa with my bow and look forward to repeating the experience before too long. Bowhunting is illegal in the UK and many European countries so travel is required. This site appears to be a good resource for information on Africa and other opportunities.

Welcome to AH Inverey. Glad to have you join us. I'll be in your neck of the woods so to speak on Oct 6 thru 16 for the roar of red stags and a 4 day hunt and sightseeing. Flying into Edinburgh then up to Stirling for 3 days, From the looks of your name your farther north, Just a guess. But I'm headed south the Glasgow / Dumfries to hunt. First trip to your country I know I'm going to love it !

Thanks for your welcome note. There are some big stags in the Dumfriesshire - I hope you have a great trip.

Welcome Inverey,
My wife and I spent a week touring your country and even got in some fly fishing..... Absolutely spectacular scenery in the highlands, and some of the warmest, friendliest folks we have ever met. We look forward to doing a stag hunt as well in the future. It's a shame about bow hunting in the UK. We are primarily bow hunters ourselves.
Enjoy the Forum.

Thanks Inverey, I'm hunting with the outfitter that holds the scottish record book stag for free range from Dumfries.

Welcome to AH.
Still amazes me that bow hunting is illegal in the UK.

You have found a great resource.

Welcome!

Well, Africa is one of the continents that will call you back again and again. The challenge of bow hunting makes hunting a real adventure. Did you ever considar a hunt to NAMIBIA?

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
