Gunsmith for a M70 Mag Expansion

I have a 90s Model 70 in 375 H&H. It is set up like a Super Express but doesn’t say that anywhere as the floor plate has the SCI logo and 25th Anniversary designation.

It holds 3 in the mag and I’d really like to see if I could get it modified to hold a fourth. With one in the pipe that would give me a much more comfortable 5 shots.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a smith to do that kind of work? I’m in Virginia so any suggestions nearby especially appreciated.

When I did this to my M70 375 H&H I had it restocked at the same time... because the extended bottom metal made it necessary. And because I needed it restocked to fit.

I just ordered one of these for a B&C stocked Win 70 in 458 Lott, will let you know how it goes. Talked with them and I expect some fitting is required for long magnums, but they said no fitting expected for 458 Win and shorter cartridges.

Kak fixed drop mag arrived today, I think this is going to work… looks like it just needs a bit of filing or milling to open up the back to magnum length. It assembled well and coupled with the existing mag box.
