The dogs had fun and I got to check the rifles out at the "range"
The 375H&H is still on the money and so is the 300WM.

A nice quiet river valley up in the Rockies.

This Black Bear was just about to become a new rug when out popped two yearlings from behind the spruce.
Oh well, you can't win them all. Nice to see the family working the slopes for berries.

Very nice, beautiful country!

Great picture of the dogs. Looks like a wonderful place for a walk even if no grouse.

That's a fantastic photo of your Springers. Too bad about the grouse. Good luck next outting.

Nice dogs Wayne!

Makes me be both excited and dread Colorado here in a couple of weeks. Those mountains are going to kick my butt.

Brickburn, I was in Quebec last week with my dogs and had 25 to 30 flushes on woodcock and at least 5 to 6 Grouse a day .....
How far are you from Quebec ?

On my Colorado muzzle loader hunt I saw more bears than I did elk. I also ran into a lot of dusky grouse (blues) but all I had was my .54 so I passed on all of them. I need to get back up there with a shotgun, but then I won't see a single one.

A long way buddy. Thanks for the thought

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
