The Grey Rhebok or Grey Rhebuck (Pelea capreolus), locally known as the Vaal Rhebok or Vaalribbok in Afrikaans, is a species of antelope endemic to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland. The specific name capreolus is Latin for 'little goat'.

I hunted this fellow in the Namaqualand in the Northern Cape. It is a lovely area to combine the spectacular flower season of Namaqualand with a hunt for Vaal Rhebuck, Steenbuck, Common Duiker and Klipspringer, and a great way to start of towards the tiny ten.

Namaqualand in full bloom after a good winter this year, following one of the worst three year drought spells they’ve had.
 
That dude is part Gemsbok or something. Huge!

Shot of 420 meters to be able to achieve it, when this very nice vaal rhebok had already spotted us and was about to cross the hill
