I've been reading this forum for a couple days since Cecil. Came here via a link from an anti hunter on an internet posting. I've nothing to add really, you folks are doing well posting. Be aware that there are probably many regular hunters from other places that come here for good info on this Cecil thing as it affects us all, plus there are probably journalists. The antis can just go rustle.

Welcome to AH. No probably about it, was contacted by someone to give my take on Cecil. I politely declined.

Welcome!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome all. By the way the photo for avatar is a seldom seen photo of Aldo Leopold's son Starker with Mexican Wolf from (I believe) 1948. Aldo originated early ideas here on wildlife management, and he loved to hunt.

I've been reading,,,, I know I'll probably never have the means to visit Africa but we've enough critters here for me. Not sure how the heck you guys keep game meat cool without snow. Not much to add to your forum but it is good reading. Hope to explore old posts looking at calibers, methods, etc. Some great writing here.

Welcome to AH, I guess we should thank the antis for the publicity lol.

Welcome to AH, go to Africa, you won't have to have tag soup anymore:sneaky:;)(y)

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com
NRA benefactor, areas hunted, add congo, Mozambique3, Zambia2
Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
