OK, so my next hunt is booked with friends in june next year. I have eight months to wait, that feels far too long away. I'm reading several internet hunting forums, I'm watching videos on youtube. I've even thought about ordering the Capstick books I've not yet read, and I'm constantly thinking about the choice of animals I might take whilst there.

Is it only me that does this? :D

nope

i am going on my first hunt to africa in june and i feel the same way. but getting everything lined up and planed is occupying my time :D

Not just you......I'm going in May..... feel the same way.

We all feel this way! Also planning for June in RSA, be my 7th trip over. Not quite as mind blowing as it once was but it will be the first trip for my boy (16) and I am really looking forward to that.

It's not just you...I just got back from my first trip and don't even have my return trip planned yet, and I am still reading several internet hunting forums and watching videos on youtube. Can't imagine what is going to happen when I actually have the return planned.

Don t worry, we all do it !

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

may I suggest Intaba Safaris in the East Cape by Port Elizabeth, Eugene is a great guy, 2 of us will be there April 6th to April 14th. he does cull hunts(that's what I am doing) and if you go to his web site he is and offering daily fees of 200.00 and good cull prices. Thanks Jim
Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
