I’ve reached that point in life when folks begin to clear out some of their collection that is unlikely to see much future use. This is a Ruger No. 1 Lipseys run from 2016 or 2017. I purchased it new in 2017. It has a 1B style forend, no iron sights, and a 28” barrel. Lipseys had specified the longer 28” barrel on this edition. I don’t recall how many of these were made for the run, but it has not been a regular catalog item. As shown in the photos, I removed the sling swivel studs for shooting over bags at the range. The wood on this rifle has visually striking horizontal contrasting streaks, which reminds my of French walnut. I don’t know if that’s what it is, as the specifications did not indicate it was French as best I can recall. The rifle has a Jard trigger, which provides an excellent, crisp break. There are no other modifications. The Ruger scope rings are not shown in the photos but will be included. The rifle has proven very accurate with Hornady factory 140, 143 and 147 ammunition. It also does well with the 127 Barnes LRX. The original box and paperwork will be included.

$1949 shipped from my FFL to yours in the US. If someone from Hawaii is interested let’s discuss shipping costs as I expect that would be more expensive. I’m happy to answer any questions.
Jeff

Nice wood!

Wow, beautiful stock on that No.1. Good luck with the sale.

For those that may be interested, I will also soon be listing Ruger No. 1 rifles in 450/400 and 458 Winchester. The 450/400 is from around 2008. I’m the original owner. The 458 is more unusual. It is a liberty year rifle. I bought it from a local dealer who is a friend of mine, who in turn told me a story from the seller. Fans of the Ruger No 1 may remember that Bill Ruger hosted a group of five well-known gun writers that year and gave each of them a No. 1. I remember that Jack O’Connor, Warren page, Elmer, Keith, and Charles Askins were four of gun writers. I’m not sure who the fifth was. Supposedly, this was one of those rifles. I have no way to verify it, and no documentation of provenance. So it is just a story. You know what they say about that, buy the gun not the story. It has a case hardened receiver, which looks like the case hardening that Ruger has typically done in the past. It’s a nice gun. I have been surprised to find that it shoots very well with 300 grain Barnes TTSX bullets! I would’ve thought with all the free bore it would throw those all over the place. I think it would make a fun pig or deer gun with those loads. I have never hunted with either of them. For pricing, I intend to price them the same as the Creedmoor I have already listed, $1949 shipped in the Continental US. I’ll get pictures up as soon as I can.
