I do want a .458 win mag... but I think I'm going to build my own on a large ring mauser action.. sometime later this year..

Put another way, new prices for these items: Model 70 $1300, Buckmaster scope $300, Leupold rings and 2-piece base $50, 250 handloads - let's be conservative and say $750. Total cost = $2400, for $1200. Of course, if you don't handload, then it wouldn't be such a good deal.
