I have decided to clean out my safe of guns and scopes I no longer use. For starters, I am putting up for sale my Sako 75 synthetic stainless 270 Win. I am the original owner of this firearm and purchased it in 1999. I have the original owners manual but no longer have the original box. This rifle has been to Africa a few times and because it was a very accurate rifle (see photo) I occasionally used it to cull deer on our lease in Texas.

The gun is in very good shape and probably has no more than 250 rounds through it. The stock has a few minor scraps from the couple of safari's in Africa and various rides on my ATV out to the blinds on our lease. It has been a safe queen for at least a decade. I had @Mark Biggerstaff check out the barrel with his scope and he said it is clean and in excellent shape.

Included with the purchase are 30MM Optilock mounts. I will also include 1 box, 20 rounds, of Federal 150 gr Partitions, 7 rounds of 130 gr Swift Sirocco and 38 rounds 140 gr Fail Safe. In addition, I have a hand load I developed with 130 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips I can share with buyer. And finally I will include approximately 90 pieces of one shot brass that is mostly nickel plated.

@Mark Biggerstaff, @Katy Darren and @da_chooch can vouch for me and I will be using R&M Firearms to ship the rifle to the buyer's FFL.

I am asking $995 shipped to the buyers FFL in Lower 48. I will accept Zelle, Venmo and personal check (rifle shipped once check cleared).

Thanks for looking.

I shot this group a couple of weeks ago. 3 shots at 100 yards with 130 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips. As I recall, the rifle shoots most ammo I have tried at ~1 MOA or better.

I can definitely vouch for Bill on his guns. My guns are jealous of how well he keeps his up! I have hunted around the world with Bill and can assure you his firearms are in great shape!

Can vouch, I’ve known Bill over 25 years now and he’s a man of his word and hunting and gun enthusiast. Take advantage of this thinning of the herd! For example, he just set up a mutual friend with a great value gun and scope in 300 WSM. If you need a 270, you’d be getting a good one.

This is one of the best deals here on classified. These Sako SS Mod 75's are a huge step up from basic bolt guns that often sell here for close to 1K. With rings, ammo and shipping included? I own and use one of these for trips to Alaska, Asia and other wet environs....because unlike the cheaper stainless steel guns, even the trigger mechanism on these is SS....and that can be critical. I bought mine because the entire trigger mechanism on my stainless Remington rusted solid on a trip to SW Alaska....Anyway, don't know the seller, but had to chime in......GLWS.........FWB

Hi @flatwater bill, Thanks for the kind words. You are correct, this is a very nice rifle, in very good shape and I priced it attractively. Hopefully someone on AH will take advantage of it. I will give it a month or so on AH and if nobody wants it I will post it on Gunbroker, I am sure it will sell there.

Yep it is available.

I have this exact rifle in 30/06. I bought mine new, around year 2000. Mine is also very accurate, and has an ultra smooth action. I've considered selling it in the past, but it shoots so well, it's hard to part with it.
Hi @TOBY458,

It was a tough decision to sell the rifle, I too bought it new is 1999 and used it for deer hunting with my kids, a back country horseback elk hunt with my son when he was only 8 and I took it to Africa on my first safari. So the rifle did have some sentimental value. But it was just sitting there in my gun safe and I just decided I needed to sell the rifles I am not using. So my battery will be whittled down to 204 Ruger, 243 Win, 308 Win, 338 Win Mag, 375 RUM, 450/400 NE double, 470 NE double and a 500 NE double on order (I will sell the 470 when the 500 arrives). So I think I have everything covered with that battery.

That really says a lot about these rifles given your sales history! :ROFLMAO:

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.
