If I sell something from the safe I make a big deal out of it to beloved wife. I tend to be make less noise about new acquisitions that have a new home in said safe.

Luckily my wife is very understanding. I normally say "Honey I'd like to buy that", and she would normally say "do you really need it, and can we afford it", and of course my reply is always "yes to both"
