I’ve had the Diamond Lansky stone kit for quite a while, probably going back to the 90’s. It came with (grey) extra-course 120 grit, (purple) course 220 grit, (orange) medium 325 grit and (gold) fine 600 grit. Over time these wore out and a couple of years ago I bought new course, medium and fine diamond stones but also added the (yellow) ultra-fine ceramic hone 1000 grit. I don’t think I’ve used the new stones to sharpen maybe four or five knives since then, so I thought I’d sell the entire kit.
Brand new the Lansky 4-Diamond Stone set retails for just over $80 but doesn’t include the (yellow) ultra-fine ceramic hone which runs another $12. I’m asking for $60 plus shipping.
The Spyderco kit was an impulse buy when I foolishly bought a knife with serrations. Other than the short-lived serrated knife, it saw some use on my kitchen cutlery but not much. My hands lack the steadiness required to make this system effective. It includes the two sets of stones, guards (those little round rods) to protect your hand and the case. It all packs down into this little plastic case.
On Amazon the Spyderco Triangle Sharpmaker sell for $80 to $90. I’m asking for $60 plus shipping.
If someone would like both kits, send me a DM and we can work something out.
