Rifle came in on trade and I disassembled it as barrel was not original nor was the stock.

Long action, originally chambered in 30-06 and retains same bolt face. Guessing 1965-67 based on 6 digit serial number 3XXXXX. Early style saftey with bolt lock. Early trigger (non 40X with adjustment screw). Some marks from use and where previous bases were mounted.

If looking to build a vintage 700, here's your chance. As a reminder, Remington removed the bolt lock as it forced you to take off safe to unload, even on a loaded chamber. Can easily remove bolt stop function if desired as well as swap any 700 trigger

Action functions well. $350 shipped to your FFL.

Someone.... Someone please buy this so I won't.

Great price, that short bolt shroud and the trigger with the tombstone safety are worth almost the asking price. Now if only it were a short action.

Dang. I’d love to build a rifle out of that.

$315 shipped...Somebody needs a new rifle build project! :D

I will take it, However I am in the woods now and cannot arrange payment until Monday. If someone can pay you sooner than that, no need to hold for me. I need it like another hole in the head but can't stand knowing this needs a home. I have a soft heart like that.

Hello there,
Could you tell me if your model 70 has two recoil lugs? I have heard some of the super express rifles had one, while the safari express has two.
Thank you.
Brant.
