For Sale 500 Jeffery MNR Custom

For sale is a 500 Jeffery built by Matt Roberts of MNR on a vektor magnum length double square bridge action. Letting go of some things to fund a double when the right one comes along. Starting with this as the 500 Jeff is above my recoil threshold which seems to top out around 458 Lott / 470 NE. I bought the rifle as a 505 Gibbs but there was damage on the rim of the bolt face that needed to be welded and repaired. I had Matt rebarrel and convert to 500 Jeffery. The rim on the Gibbs case is quite large, and considering the bolt repair, I wanted to use a case with a smaller rim to leave a little bit more meat on the bolt face.

Rifle has a 24 inch Krieger barrel, 14 inch length of pull, weighs 11 lbs and holds 3 in the magazine. Matt reworked magazine, follower and tuned action to run the 500 Jeff nice and smooth. Talley scope bases are milled directly into the bridges and rib is milled to accept a mount for Trijicon RMR or other red dot with the same footprint. The RMR base sits lower than any others I have tried. Rust blue finish. Stock has ebony forend and ebony capped cross bolts.

Deal includes new RCBS dies, 100 new Norma cases and RMR mount. I believe I have 50-100 Woodleigh 600 gr bullets but will through in whatever I have.

I hear ya bro. It is so hard to resist. I keep telling myself it's all about saving up.for the next hunt then I see stuff like this. I have to keep the double. We need to book a trip.for.25 or 26 with D&Y for some serious buffalo and tuskless hunting. You can bring the 500 Jeff and we can put some stuff in the salt. It would be nice to have the 416 and the matching 500 jeff in the camp at the same time!

If it had a few different preferred spec's .. I would offer a trade: Never fired "Krieghoff .500"
Recoil may be pretty close though, idk.
