I wanted to get some new pictures of the rifle to add to this thread, but between still trying to get caught up at work, rain, more work, and more rain...oh well - I can add some later!
You guys know the rifle. It is the beauty I just killed my Buffalo with, while hunting in Zimbabwe with Cody, John Sharp and Dave Langerman.
It is a fully sorted rifle. Wayne had the rifle in July to install a new mag box with thinner walls to ensure adequate grip by the action rails on the cases, during vigorous reloads.
Shoots and feeds softs, TSX and Hydros, and can give you Lott performance at very low pressure or essentially 460 Weatherby performance if you want to run those kind of pressures (I don't and didn't!).
I have a lifetime supply of new cases (at least 400, but I'd have to count) and a set of dies.
I also have a set of Alaska Arms low QD rings that likewise, can be purchase with the rifle.
I purchased the rifle at a significant discount from the original asking price, and am going to list the rifle at the price I paid, $4,800 plus shipping and insurance.
If the buyer of the rifle wants the brass, they are $1 each and the Alaska Arms rings can be had for $100. Dies I will throw in with the rifle, either way.
This rifle has the nicest trigger I have ever had on a hunting rifle. Close as I can measure it is right about 3 pounds and very crisp.
Buyer gets two weeks to shoot the rifle and if unsatisfied, ship it back on your dime in the same condition for a full refund.
I love this rifle and would keep it...but I did promise my wife I would sell it after the hunt to help fund drilling a water well on our place in Ozark County...and I haven't been with her since 1981 by going back on my word!
I want a happy buyer...I do not think anyone will be disappointed!
Here are some pics....recycled from previous threads!
LOP is 13 5/8" (I used a Beartooth neoprene buttstock cover with a 1/4" gel insert to get 14")
Barrel is 23"
Weight un-scoped, un-loaded is 10.5 lbs.
If I left out anything, just ask!
Thanks for looking,
Tim
