For Sale 450/400 Verney-Carron O/U

Up for sale is my 450-400 Verney-Carron. While this gun looks brand new, I am the second owner, and I do not know the history of this gun. There is no regulation paper in the case. The butt pad has been changed. LOP is 14 1/4” to the front trigger. Weight is 8lbs 6.5oz. This gun is absolutely beautiful, I cannot see how anyone possibly hunted with this gun given there are no dings or scratches. Asking price, 7500.00. For this amount of money I’d be willing to send anyone a video of me with the gun, also, I’ve seen people refer to a site called Guntabs. I’m willing to set up an account on that site or I’m willing to have someone suggest what works best for them.

Yes, I did shoot 2 rounds through this rifle to see how bad it kicked. I was surprised that it doesn’t kick as bad as I thought. I set the gun on shooting sticks and fired it into a dirt bank on the far side of my pond. I wasn’t shooting at a target. As much as I spend hours and hours on this site, admiring these beautiful wood-stock guns, I just refuse to take them into the field, so I have eliminated all of my wood-stock guns, except this one.

Absolutely lovely rifle! As per my thread re O/U v SxS this is a beautiful weapon in a great calibre. If I had the funds it would be mine.
Lovely metalwork. great maker and wood to go with it.
Someone is going to be a lucky owner.

Beautiful rifle. You do realize that there is not much you could do to this rifle that could not be repaired if you did take it hunting?
