It’s Fleet week here and the Blue Angels are flying along with a lot of other planes.

We got started at Zero Dark Thirty and picked up live bait in the City.

Then out to the gate fishing:

Fishing a drift on the North Bar (Potato Patch) just past the Point Bonita lighthouse.

It’s always fun to see the Blue Angels fly, especially while fishing or hunting. With their home port of NAS Pensacola, they spend the winter practicing along the Alabama coast, I would be on the bay duck hunting and treated to an air show quite often. Makes for a nice way to pass the time when the ducks aren’t flying.

Great fish by the way, we catch a fair number of flounder, the biggest I’ve caught was about 5#, wouldn’t know how to react to a 18# halibut!
