Fishing in Angola

For those who do not know....

Angola is one of the worlds last fishing paradises left.

We were hunting the 500 lbs Marlin and the 150lbs Sailfish....

Pulling has hard I can on 80lbs tackle....

This one was about 29lbs.

and this one around 22lbs

Great pictures. We wont see any MAHI around here in Cape Canaveral for another few weeks. The water is still to cold.
I wish I were with you fishing . I have never fished off Nambia. Sound to good to be true.
Are u guys at a fish camp or a village or town dock? Do you have any fishing tackle shops there?

This was out of the port in Luanda - Angola.

The water temp at that stage was 28 degrees C.

500 kilometres south of Luanda is a little town called Lobito.

They presented the Lobito Bill Fish challenge last week and the 1st Angola 1000 lbs Blue Marlin was caught!!!!

Tackle shops are basically non existent here in Angola and I buy all my tackle in South Africa when I am there.

Lobito, now I know why it sounds so familiar I went trough the place on the way to Lubango I think the place where they brew all the beer in Angola.
