Two years back my friend threw his hand up at sheep show life breakfast and bought a South Africa hunt package with Superior Safaries. Not sure what we were getting into, I have to say it turned out great. We hunted limpopo on Shelanti Game Reserve. It was a very nice place with great people. We were treated like Kings. We we hunted plains game for a week, 5 days at Shelanti and 3 days on other properties. Our hunt just finished up April 2025. I would definitely go back. Everyone says of you hunt Africa once and your screwed. That is very true. I'm ready to go back tomorrow. I took four plains game animals. I passed on an old dugga boy, it wasn't in my budget this trip. But I'm planning for 2028.
Kudu was taken at 375 yards with my 375 Ruger. I Didn't want to take that far of a shot but it is like Elk hunting, you gotta take what is given. I wouldn't have pulled the trigger if I didn't believe in my shot. All other stalks on animals I kept asking my PH if we could get closer. I actually prefer to get in as tight as possible on big game animals. I also walked away from an old blue Eland at 90 yards. I thought my PH was gonna cry. I told him we were Kudu hunting and he looked at me like I was crazy. I did end up killing my Kudu that night so it worked out. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have questions.
