Firearm Regs Zambia

G'day All,

I'm relocating to the Zambezi from Aus and am after the local firearms regulations. I've read through the Zambian firearms act:

though am looking for what semi auto rifles are available to civilians. I have already lined up a .416 for purchase and will be bringing my shotguns over from Aus. Will be selling everything else over here locally.

Are there any Zambians or Blokes with experience in Zambia here who can explain the case with what is allowed to be owned? I believe it is possible to purchase an AR-15 type rifle but not something like an FN or a G3?

Also, what are the limitations with ammunition?

If you do try to do a FN or SBritish knock off auto list it as a 308 not 7.62.

Righto @spike.t what do you know Mate? What sort of semi rifles am I allowed to have? Whats the case with calibres as well?

I've grown up using a .303 and apparently its a banned cartridge in Zambia? I'd like to replace my .303 that I'm selling here once i'm over in Zambia over the next year if possible. Nothing beats a Number 4 Enfield in my books.
