Here is a questions for the many taxidermist on this forum.....Does this hold true for many of the different African Mounts?

As a taxidermist I would agree with the recommendations except I would be careful about cleaning the eyes as some spray a clear on the eyes and surrounding area to give a more life like appearance .

I haven't cleaned my mounts in years. The key to keeping a mount look good is to have a quality mount done in the first place.

Even the best quality mounts still get dusty and need cleaning. A high quality tan is the foundation of a high quality mount.
