Long story short the IRS says they have failed to received tax documents from my business from a number of years ago. They have been sending notices to our former business address. We closed up 3 1/2 yrs ago. One notice finally made it through a couple of months ago. Our accountant says it’s time to hire a federal tax attorney. None in Gillette.
Anyone know a GOOD one? I’d appreciate a DM if anyone can help. I suspect much of this can be done via ZOOM or some such service. If in the Denver or Salt Lake areas would travel to meet with them so NW US would be preferred.
Thanks for any and all help.

I would suggest that you look at the Website martindale.com and find a lawyer there. (preferably Av rating, someone with an LLM in Taxation, even better if also a CPA too) Just to let you know, the first firm I worked at my boss was licensed in Tax Court. He said that was a guaranteed loss for the taxpayer.

Right now I’m resigned to the fact that I’m going to pay something. The only thing we did wrong was to fail to send the documents in with a return receipt so we had proof of the sending.
I don’t feel that their penalties are fair when they have been sending notices that don’t get to me because of the business closure.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
