Hello All,
I first hunted the Luangwa River Valley in Zambia in 1983 and have been making trips to Africa from my homebase in Texas ever since. After hunting and touring in many places across southern Africa, my wife and I decided we wanted to focus our time and efforts in Zambia where we fell in love with the people, the beauty, the bountiful wildlife, the vast wilderness areas, the variety of terrain and habitat, and on and on. With our minds made up where we wanted to build a business in Africa that would be dedicated to conservation and community while providing clients, friends, and family a truly authentic hunting experience across vast open wildernesses, we set forth to build local relationships in Zambia that would lead to where we wanted to go with our dream. Epic Safaris is an outfitter that has established key relationships with two operators that give us certain quota rights to two concessions - Chifunda in the northern part of the Luangwa River Valley across the river from North Luangwa National Park and Mumbwa West on the eastern banks of the Kafue River across from Kafue National Park. Many folks on here know of these two hunting areas well. Thru these relationships, we have the ability to offer tailor made safaris to these two rather large, world class hunting concessions where one can hunt the big 4, crocs, hippos, and plains game out of chic, old school tented hunting camps built along the river banks of the Kafue River and Luangwa River. The hunting is incredible in these areas and we have wonderful cat hunting at both concessions. Moreover, with our camps across the rivers from two of the most iconic parks in Africa and our involvement in several conservation efforts in some of Zambia's national parks, we can set up very interesting activities for our clients' observers - wifes, kids, friends or whoever - if they choose not to go hunting every day. Final point to add, we have a core group of PHs that we work with and we strive to match up our clients with the right PH fit.
