I recently purchased this Krieghoff Classic Big 5 in .470 NE but it is still in shipment from the UK. The engraving is signed "KN" and my research to date indicates that Kathrin Nonn, an independent engraver who occasionally works on Krieghoffs and other fine firearms, did this work. Can anyone shed additional light on this engraver? Thanks in advance. Ed

She is obviously a talented engraver whatever her credentials are.

That is beautiful! Game scenes on doubles look so awesome when done properly, and then there is the Merkel game scenes that look like cartoon characters on the other side of the spectrum. An expensive piece of canvas, one should chose wisely. It appears Kreigoff did on yours.
Cheers,
Cody

I have seen a bit of her other work and it is always tastefully done. Does anyone have an opinion of the worth of this firearm?

I never really had a "dream" or a bucket list. I was always an opportunistic sampler of all of the many excellent recreational choices available to me, whether it be blue water sailing, climbing the New England 40 above 4000, in summer and winter, hiking Yosemite, owning a offshore tuna boat, extreme snowmobile trips in northern Newfoundland or hunting. Then I went to Africa and got involved in mission work, touring and PG hunting. Now, at age 73, I do have a bucket list and it is short: "DG". That is it. Hence the .470 and a Blaser Big Bore build I am working on. So, DREAM, DREAM BIG, .DREAM OFTEN. just don't get obsessed. Or at least, not too obsessed.

Ed, for a fact you sound like our kinda guy.

I hope so. From what I've read, you, and "your kind of guy", are a special breed.

Beautiful work

Ed,
Beautiful work. The lady is talented. A question: How can anyone hunt Africa and not become obsessed? Especially this mob. I think we are all hopelessly obsessed. 21 days and I'm going back for my third hunt. Fidget, fidget.

Enjoy .I pray you have a successful and safe trip. Blessings .Ed
