This was the rifle Ed Brown built for himself as a prototype and used on his African Safari as proof to his design, See letter in photos. 14" LOP, 9 lbs without optic, Timney Trigger, threaded for muzzle break which is included but also has a nicely fit thread cap. Kreiger Barrel with NECG masterpiece sights, McMillan Stock. I will include talley mounts, rings, and Leupold VX3 1.5-5 safari scope with German #4 Retile. This is a fantastic rifle, functionally flawless and very accurate with everything I've put through it, maybe 75 rounds. Mark Bansner owns the design and builds similar rifles, albeit much more expensive than this one. $6500.00

I don’t. I had the chance to buy it about 6 years ago and didn’t, was funding a hunt that was a stretch already , so I passed, it’s a regret I think about often. I think a guy in Georgia had it.

That's where I'm at, if I can find the two of them I'd buy this one also. Just to have the pair. So let's together try to find it!?

I'd put a wanted or looking for add here on this site and maybe on GI as well....never know. I tried that once with a Dakota that sold a long time ago and wanted to get it back and nothing ever became of it. I wouldn't let that stop you from buying this one though :)

Well I've been a huge fan of the 704 since the beginning, unfortunately Mark Bansner owns the design now, and hasn't been able to secure the funds to promote it yet, I was actually going to invest in him to do so! But he's been back and forth with excuses, I've since worked with Bob Beck and he's releasing an awesome CRF very soon

I've tried as you can see to even buy the design

Interesting. I think there is a small market for them for sure, probably expensive to produce

Tried calling you but your mailbox is full,....lmk when you'd like to talk

I had its twin and foolishly sold it! It was perfect LOP etc. It lingered at Cabelas for months, and bought it right. Someone at the range just had to have it. I replaced it with a LAW .375 I actually like a little more! Mark told me they sold very few of the LAW Dangerous game (Big 5) rifles, and I have never seen only one sell on the secondary market since LAW shut down. The Ed Brown stocks are great, but I really like the Bansner Miller. I have subsequently added other rifles built on the 704 and and Ed Brown original 704 and love them.
That's where I'm at, if I can find the two of them I'd buy this one also. Just to have the pair. So let's together try to find it!?

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
