Drew a Muzzleloader Elk tag in Colorado unit 65

surprised to find out I drew a cow tag for muzzleloader season in unit 65 as a second choice. I have hunted the Uncomphagre Nat Forest in unit 66 in the past but 65 is new to me. If anyone has knowledge or info that might be helpful, please pass it along. I will be tent camping and hunting by foot. Just looking forward to being in the mountains during the Elk rut with the aspens changing colors.

Good luck. Don't know the area, but I'll be hunting archery elk in Colorado. I'll ask around at the archery shop if anyone knows that area.

No doubt a magical time! I have been lucky enough to experience this once in Colorado also, just unbelievable to be on the ground and get close to bugling bulls with their harems.
