Difficulties exporting trophies from Argentina?

This is going to sound bitter, because I am.
Same situation, still waiting on trophies from three years ago. No one seems to be able to respond with any kind of status. Very frustrating.
Still waiting on word of my trophies... 2 years later

I am still waiting on a buffalo, red stag, blackbuck and Scottish black face. Federico has them and I’m sure they are lost forever. These were hunted in March 2023. If I don’t get them I will do my best to destroy what little name Federico has left in the hunting world.

All trophies were confiscated by the government. Frederico Testa and Caza y safaris owner and some employees have been arrested as well. If you look up the two, the story is on the internet.

That is correct. Federico is out now but the government has not released any trophies back to him. Even if they do I’m sure they will be ruined.

I really hate to see this for you guys!
A lot of good it does but I saw the other day that SCI has kicked him out. Maybe they can get involved somehow and lobby the government. If they did it would probably be at extortion prices. I would think they would have a tough time determining what was actually legally hunted and what was taken illegally as far as the stags, buffalo and blackbuck go.

Also, sorry to hear of troubles exporting/importing. We tend to put a lot of trust in the local people who handle our exports.
As to the legally hunted trophies, it's really not hard to match the trophy and the license to the hunter. Every trophy has a tag that identifies it. It will take time and motivation and probably money.

Another issue with the Caza y Safaris and Federico debacle relates to deposits on booked hunts. I haven't seen that raised here. My group of four was scheduled with them for this past March. We put our deposits down with them over a year ago. After being notified of this problem late last year, we asked for refunds. We have received absolutely no response or communication from anyone, so far. Frankly, we're fully expecting to get stiffed--but holding out hope that they get their act together and come through. Anyone else having the same problem? Any advice on how to attack the problem is welcome.

I suggest starting a new thread here on AH specifically for this issue
