Hi Heym,
Since you don't live in one of the local counties surrounding Dallas, you should be accepted almost immediately. If you live close to Dallas, you have to have a sponsor. At least that is my understanding. Outside of those counties, no sponsor is necessary. I live in Florida and I believe it was less than a week before I was notified. And according to your profile info, it appears you are in South Carolina.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
