Hi all,

I just want to share with all you a few pictures of my custom 338 win.

1.JPG 2.JPG 3.JPG 4.JPG 5.JPG 6.JPG

I bought it last year and I do not want to hunt with any other rifle.

Hope you like it.

nice looking rifle...you will be very pleased with your rifle and it is in a great round...

Thanks Alcornoque, a beautiful rifle that you have there.

Beautiful, nice calibre also! Congratulations, enjoy her and pass her down the generations to come.

Thank you all.

The rifle was made with a Spanish Santa Brabara Mauser 98 action and a lothar whalter barrel, 3 position safety,....
I use ewa detachable mounts on it and a Swarovski 2.5-10x56 rifle scope. The stock was made with a turkish wallnut.
I can tell I am extremely happy with it...
They rifle was made in Eibar, Spain.

Precioso, enhorabuena !

(Beautiful, congratulations)

Beautiful rifle!

Muy bonito Alcornoque!!! made by D. Diego?

Muy bonito Alcornoque!!! made by D. Diego?

Made by Don Diego! Todo un maesto aremero!!!!
Where are you from nsok?

From Madrid Alcornoque. I have a 9,3x62 made by Diego 6 months ago and in five days time it will go for first time to Africa, I hope it enjoys as much as I am going to.
Is Diego the father of your 470?

What a gorgeous rifle! Looks like a classic British Express rifle. The .338 is certainly a good choice for caliber, took one to RSA in '09 and it shoots great. The other cal mentioned here, the 9.3x62 is another favorite of mine, it really hammers them!

I can tell the rifle is much more beautiful than it looks in the pictures...

Diego is such an excellent gunsmith...
I never hunted with a 9.3x62 but I have heard good thing about it.
No, Diego is not the father of my 470NE...
Where are hunting in Africa? what are you going to hunt?

Great gunsmith and great guy!
9,3x62 I think is a great caliber for thick bush as the one I am going to hunt on the border of Botwana with Louis Van Bergen from Spiral Horn Safaris, and a very good one for our Spanish monteria

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
