The rifle was made with a Spanish Santa Brabara Mauser 98 action and a lothar whalter barrel, 3 position safety,....
I use ewa detachable mounts on it and a Swarovski 2.5-10x56 rifle scope. The stock was made with a turkish wallnut.
I can tell I am extremely happy with it...
They rifle was made in Eibar, Spain.
From Madrid Alcornoque. I have a 9,3x62 made by Diego 6 months ago and in five days time it will go for first time to Africa, I hope it enjoys as much as I am going to.
Is Diego the father of your 470?
What a gorgeous rifle! Looks like a classic British Express rifle. The .338 is certainly a good choice for caliber, took one to RSA in '09 and it shoots great. The other cal mentioned here, the 9.3x62 is another favorite of mine, it really hammers them!
Diego is such an excellent gunsmith...
I never hunted with a 9.3x62 but I have heard good thing about it.
No, Diego is not the father of my 470NE...
Where are hunting in Africa? what are you going to hunt?
Great gunsmith and great guy!
9,3x62 I think is a great caliber for thick bush as the one I am going to hunt on the border of Botwana with Louis Van Bergen from Spiral Horn Safaris, and a very good one for our Spanish monteria
